Random Updates

My classroom is now semi-move in ready!! My step-mom is coming in this weekend to help me get started with the walls and stuffing all my junk in the cabinets and next weekend my mother is coming to put manipulatives and furniture in its place and hopefully wrap up any last minute stuff!!! Hopefully I can get it all finished soon so I can mark that worry off my list (which continues to grow!!!) Tomorrow I am going to pamper myself!! I got a one hour prenatal massage for my birthday so I am going tomorrow morning, then afterwards I am going to get a manicure/pedicure and then early that evening Aunt Cathy is going to come over and give me and Bekah a much needed haircut. I'm looking forward to it!!!! On Friday August 8th we are taking Bekah to a Backyardigans concert in Waco. It's one last big event while we are still just a family of three. I think she will really enjoy it. My next Dr. appointment is on Tuesday, August 5th and the sonogram has been scheduled for the next day. Which means more than likely I won't find out what she thinks until the next Dr. appointment which will be the next Tuesday, August 12th! I'll let you know more when I do. Until then. . . . pictures of Avery's nursery to date:

And a random picture of Kelsey sleeping with her pet snake all cuddled up around her.
And Bekah went and got Daddy's boots and wanted to put them on.

Avery Update!

Well our little man isn't so little. At our doctor appointment last week she said he probably weighed 7 to 7 1/2 lbs. (He should be about 5 lbs at this point!) and I was measuring a centimeter more than I should have. I'm 35 weeks and at this point I go see her every week and he starts putting on about 1/2 lb a week. Augh!!! My Dr. is going to schedule a sonogram scheduled for next week to get a true estimate of his weight and then discuss some options which include him arriving earlier than expected and a possible C-section. I'm a little nervous about the whole operation thing but I'll do whatever needs to be done to get our healthy big boy here! :-) I'll share more when we know more.

Nursery!

The nursery is getting closer to getting done! We are now done painting the walls. We still have to do some touch ups but overall it looks great. Trae put the crib together and we put the bedding in already. I'm so excited. It looks really good-- only 6 more weeks left!!! I'll post some pictures when it gets a little closer to being done. Now my living room on the other hand is another story-- I pretty much moved everything out of the nursery onto my couches and the living room floor. It's a work in progress. . . a very slow work in progress.

Avery's Nursery

Well we are slowly getting Avery's nursery ready. Our problem is we had a full room and now we don't know where to put it. I'm getting rid of what looks like a lot of stuff but yet I still have five times that much that I have to find a place for. However, my newest excitement is the fun stuff I found to put in his room. So far all we had was the bedding and a valance (Thanks Gramps and Gigi!!) The bedding set is not made anymore so I can't get any other accessories to go with it (i.e. wall hanging, mobile, lamp, etc.) But when I went to Hobby Lobby today I found the greatest decorations that match pretty close! And the best part was they were 50% off. I went ahead and bought all of it (yes I'm sad!) but I figured I'd rather return it then have to go back and get more and pay full price. See the pictures below-- I'm proud of my new finds!!!

Painting starts tonight or tomorrow so hopefully soon I can post a picture of his 'finished' room soon. :-) ~ Bethany

Look at all my goodies!!! The valance is up on top-- they're close enough right!?!?!

Lamb bookends, and pig 'box' and a shelf in the background with 3 hanging pegs.

Sutton Family Vacation

Well this morning we got up and went to the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Trae and I had taken Bekah back in February and she had fun but about half way through she started getting scared of the animals and would lean as far away from the window as possible and literally chunk the food pellets at them. This time around she did great! She fed all of them by hand and had a blast. We even got to feed the giraffes this time around. I'll post some pictures once I get them uploaded.

Panty Day! :-)

With less than 2 months to go until Avery arrives I really want Bekah to be completely potty trained. So today I decided to quit pull ups cold turkey!! When she got up this morning I took off her night time diaper and put her in big girl panties. Our day consisted of visiting a family friend at a nursing home, errands to three different stores, home for lunch, two hour nap, swimming lessons, home, then out to a business social event at a restaurant. Now it's 9:30 and Trae is putting her to bed. She wore panties ALL DAY without a single accident! I'm so proud of my big girl. :-) I know there will be several more accidents as we go through this 'journey' but I can't wait until she is potty trained.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Summer Fun

It's been a while since we have shared Sutton family pictures so here is a compilation of several different events through this summer so far. Bekah finally has enough hair to put in pigtails and a pony tail so I took pictures of those. She loves to play outside so we have our outside gear aka hat and sunglasses.

There are also pictures of us visiting with our new nephew Hayden Zachary. Bekah loved holding and kissing him and playing with all of his toys!

For the 4th of July we were in the parade. Trae pulled a trailer for the Lion's Club band so we rode in the air conditioned truck!! Bekah loved waving at all the people watching. She even got the double handed wave going. She passed out towards the end, Mommy had to wave for her the last part. Then we went out to Trae's parents house. Butch bought two horses that Bekah LOVES. She calls them and feeds them carrots and loves petting them. This weekend she also got to ride Sugar for the first time. She had a blast. She also went fishing with Daddy. We also got to do some fireworks. Bekah's favorite were the ones you throw and they pop although she had more fun stepping on them. I hope you can see the video of that!

She also loves to ride on Daddy as a horse and sometimes likes to switch roles and have Daddy ride her as a horse. Although she can't ride a horse without her cowgirl hat!

Hope everything is going well with you!

Swimming Lessons: First Day!

Well today was Bekah's first day of swimming lessons. I took my camera but then didn't take any pictures. She did great! There are 4 in her class with two teachers. She went right with the teacher and didn't even look back. Parents aren't allowed in the swimming pool area so we went to the classroom with the glass door and watched on. She had a blast. She was splashing and kicking the whole time!

On another note when we got home it started raining (for all of 5 minutes!) I opened the front door to show Bekah and she went running back into the house yelling something. I thought she was saying swimming suit and I was trying to talk her out of putting it on when she came back around the corner with the umbrella. She had to stand outside with the umbrella and then started singing "It's raining, it's pouring!" She was adorable and I did get pictures of that (in her Dora panties and all!!) :-)

Trae also took some pictures of Bekah sharing her popsicle with mommy yesterday outside. I thought it was cute so I'm sharing too! :-0

Holiday Weekend

Have a wonderful 4th of July ~ Bekah

Front Page Again!

Last year Bekah and her Papaw (Butch) were on the front page of the Killeen Daily Herald. Apparently Bekah is a magnet for TV/Newspaper cameras. This morning Trae brought in the Temple Daily Telegram and her picture is right on the front page. Here is the link to the website so you can see for yourself (yup-- first page on the website too!!) And the picture is below if you don't get to see it before the website changes. Have a great 4th of July weekend!! ~ Bethany

TV Stars :-)

Daddy and Bekah were TV stars today! (Mommy was in the corner covered by the NBC logo). We went to the Belton 4th of July Rodeo BBQ Cook off. We were on the NBC 6 News and on their website. See for yourselves!
