We're still alive (I think!)

Wow- I just realized I haven't posted since February. Ooops. Well for those of you that don't know I'm working on my Master's Degree and that is pretty much monopolizing all of my time. So here's a quick update on the Sutton family.

Trae is doing really well. He just completed his term as President of the Rotary Club, but he is still serving as the Belton Chamber of Commerce Chairman and state director for Math Counts as well as members of numerous other organizations. The Math Counts position allowed Bekah and I to join Daddy at Disney World though so that had some major perks! :-)

Bekah is turning into a little girl. She has started taking dance lessons and is so cute! I can't believe how creative she is as she plays with her dolls and with Avery. She's a really good big sister.

Avery is not a baby anymore! :-( He is growing too fast. He loves to play with his sister. He is also my little shaker and mover. That boy loves to dance!!!

I need to go write yet ANOTHER paper but here are a few updated pictures.

Weekend!

This weekend Trae had to work so the kids and I went to Tyler. Had a good time visiting Gigi, Gramps, Gucci, Grandma Goines, Granny, Grandpa, Gammy, Grandpa David and I guess that's it!! Having all of the family in one spot is nice sometimes but sure does make for crazy busy weekends! Here are some pictures.

My husband rocks. . . .

Well the Sutton family just got back from another weekend getaway. This time we took the kids with us. Trae is the president of the Rotary club in Belton and they had a Foundation Dinner at the Lost Pines Resort on Saturday night. . . so being the good wife that I am I told him we would go with him to keep him company in the hotel. :-) The resort is amazing. It was a little cold so we didn't get to do a lot of the activities but they have hayrides, movies on the grass, smores, etc. On Saturday afternoon the kids and I headed down to San Antonio to Kennedi's 2nd birthday party. We also got to meet Cade for the first time--the most handsome baby!!! We had fun (actually too much fun-- we didn't get back to the hotel until after 10:00). We headed back home on Sunday and my amazing husband unloaded the car, had a fire going and started the heater in our bathroom before I could pretty much blink an eye. I am so spoiled it's not even funny! You know I see people together or read comments on facebook or even hear stories about relationships that aren't going well or even they think are going well but they fight all the time and I just can't wrap my mind around that. I have found that perfect person for me and God couldn't have made him any better (well maybe on cleaning up after himself but I'm still training him there!!!) :-)

* And as I was finishing typing this post he calls me in to see him playing with Avery. He's using a bunny to sing and Avery is laughing hysterically. What a wonderful Daddy as well.

Our Little Soccer Girl

It's official!!! Bekah's going to be playing soccer this Spring. I'm so excited!!! I've been wanting her to be involved in sports but she's been too young. Hopefully her first game won't be on a Saturday I have class! Pictures after the first game will be posted for sure!!!

My husband rocks!

I have a friend at church that posts this on her blog almost once a week and I told her I was going to steal it because I thought it was such a great idea! I have yet to do it regularly so here here's why my husband rocks!

* He had a meeting in Austin last weekend and turned it into a weekend get away for just the two of us!
* He made a reservation for the two of us to eat at Ruth Chris' (it was yummy!!!)
* He is the most amazing man ever. Almost every month Trae takes me out on a date night without the kids. If you have children at home you have to do this!!!!! Don't get me wrong-- I LOVE my children. But I also get so wrapped up in taking caring of them, cleaning up after them, playing with them that our husband/wife relationship gets put off to the side. I love our date nights and gives me a chance to just stop and realize what an amazing husband I have.

The Sutton family is blessed! :-)
