Bekah lost her first top tooth!
Trying to get back at blogging!!! Today Bekah lost her first top tooth! (she lost a bottom one a while back, and had another bottom one pulled) Check out this cute smile. I will have a permanent reminder since school pictures are on Thursday! Oh well- doesn't everyone have a toothless yearbook picture?!?!?

We're still alive (I think!)
Wow- I just realized I haven't posted since February. Ooops. Well for those of you that don't know I'm working on my Master's Degree and that is pretty much monopolizing all of my time. So here's a quick update on the Sutton family.
Trae is doing really well. He just completed his term as President of the Rotary Club, but he is still serving as the Belton Chamber of Commerce Chairman and state director for Math Counts as well as members of numerous other organizations. The Math Counts position allowed Bekah and I to join Daddy at Disney World though so that had some major perks! :-)
Bekah is turning into a little girl. She has started taking dance lessons and is so cute! I can't believe how creative she is as she plays with her dolls and with Avery. She's a really good big sister.
Avery is not a baby anymore! :-( He is growing too fast. He loves to play with his sister. He is also my little shaker and mover. That boy loves to dance!!!
I need to go write yet ANOTHER paper but here are a few updated pictures.

Weekend!
This weekend Trae had to work so the kids and I went to Tyler. Had a good time visiting Gigi, Gramps, Gucci, Grandma Goines, Granny, Grandpa, Gammy, Grandpa David and I guess that's it!! Having all of the family in one spot is nice sometimes but sure does make for crazy busy weekends! Here are some pictures.

My husband rocks. . . .
Well the Sutton family just got back from another weekend getaway. This time we took the kids with us. Trae is the president of the Rotary club in Belton and they had a Foundation Dinner at the Lost Pines Resort on Saturday night. . . so being the good wife that I am I told him we would go with him to keep him company in the hotel. :-) The resort is amazing. It was a little cold so we didn't get to do a lot of the activities but they have hayrides, movies on the grass, smores, etc. On Saturday afternoon the kids and I headed down to San Antonio to Kennedi's 2nd birthday party. We also got to meet Cade for the first time--the most handsome baby!!! We had fun (actually too much fun-- we didn't get back to the hotel until after 10:00). We headed back home on Sunday and my amazing husband unloaded the car, had a fire going and started the heater in our bathroom before I could pretty much blink an eye. I am so spoiled it's not even funny! You know I see people together or read comments on facebook or even hear stories about relationships that aren't going well or even they think are going well but they fight all the time and I just can't wrap my mind around that. I have found that perfect person for me and God couldn't have made him any better (well maybe on cleaning up after himself but I'm still training him there!!!) :-)
* And as I was finishing typing this post he calls me in to see him playing with Avery. He's using a bunny to sing and Avery is laughing hysterically. What a wonderful Daddy as well.

It's official!!! Bekah's going to be playing soccer this Spring. I'm so excited!!! I've been wanting her to be involved in sports but she's been too young. Hopefully her first game won't be on a Saturday I have class! Pictures after the first game will be posted for sure!!!

My husband rocks!
I have a friend at church that posts this on her blog almost once a week and I told her I was going to steal it because I thought it was such a great idea! I have yet to do it regularly so here here's why my husband rocks!
* He had a meeting in Austin last weekend and turned it into a weekend get away for just the two of us!
* He made a reservation for the two of us to eat at Ruth Chris' (it was yummy!!!)
* He is the most amazing man ever. Almost every month Trae takes me out on a date night without the kids. If you have children at home you have to do this!!!!! Don't get me wrong-- I LOVE my children. But I also get so wrapped up in taking caring of them, cleaning up after them, playing with them that our husband/wife relationship gets put off to the side. I love our date nights and gives me a chance to just stop and realize what an amazing husband I have.
The Sutton family is blessed! :-)

Christmas 2007
Christmas 2007
Howdy everyone!
Well it is that time of year again. Mommy is putting the ornaments on the tree and Daddy is sprawled out on the floor having some sort of spasms. Apparently falling off the roof putting up the outside Christmas lights that Mommy loves and putting up Mommy’s 100 foot tall Christmas Tree makes Daddy walk funny. Mommy tells Daddy that he does all that because he loves her, but I don’t think Daddy is buying it!
Well on to what is important… ME!!! I am 2 years old now and have grown a lot in the past year. I am 34 ½ inches tall and I weigh 29 lbs. Daddy says I have his long legs and skinniness, but between you and me I don’t think Daddy has looked in the mirror lately. Not much skinniness going on there!!!!
Well if it wasn’t for Mommy taking great care of me and Daddy, we would be in lots of trouble. Mommy has taught me to go potty in the big potty and is working on Daddy to do the same, he is a tough one. I am going to school now and learning lots of new things. I really like my teacher and my classmates.
I say lots of words and I love to watch Little Bear, Franklin and Pooh! I am running really fast, but Daddy laughs at me when I run. He says I run like Mommy with my arms flailing all around!! Mommy gives him a Mommy look when he says that. I still love to swim and love to play outside. I also love to help Daddy with the cows.
Well I think Daddy just stepped on one of Mommy’s Christmas Ornaments, causes he is crying a lot. (Daddy cries a lot and it is quite disturbing!) So I am going to go give him kisses. That always cheers him up!
From our Family to yours, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

oh and Mommy and Daddy too!

Christmas 2008
Howdy Everyone! Christmas 2008
Well Daddy has really done it this time! He broke Mommy’s Christmas Tree!!! He told her he accidently bent it and can’t straighten it up, so when he put it up it leans really really bad. Mommy says he did it on purpose, but he says he didn’t, though between you and me he has had it out for that tree since Mommy made him buy it a few years ago! Uh-oh…Mommy is chasing him with a rolling pin in her hand. I hope she doesn’t catch him. Daddy is usually pretty slow, but he is moovvvinnnggg. RUN DADDY RUN!!! While Daddy is running for his life, I will give you an update on the big happenings going around the Sutton household this year!
Well the real big news (and I mean BIG literally), was that my big little brother Avery was born on August 10th. He was 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long and a month early. He has been growing like a weed since. He is off the charts on everything! He is a little chunker as Mommy says and takes after Daddy in that category. Daddy denies it, but if most of you haven’t seen Daddy lately he won’t be winning any body building competitions, unless it is a tummy building competition!
So as usual Mommy is taking great care of us. I go to the potty in the big potty all the time now! Daddy and Avery are still having accidents. This is my second year of school and I am learning lots of new things. I had my first Christmas Program last week and sang Jingle Bells. Daddy tried to help me practice, but he made my ears hurt so he stopped singing. Avery is laughing all the time. I think it is at Daddy’s big ears. He is holding his head up and kicking and smiling!
Pa-paw bought some horses this year!!!! He bought one named Phoenix that I love!!! He tells me that Phoenix is his, but we all know that Phoenix is mine! I like to feed Phoenix, Sugar and Bitsy carrots and ride on Phoenix and Sugar’s back. I love to help Pa-paw and Daddy feed the cows too. I went hunting with Pa-paw and Daddy for the first time this year too. I don’t know why they didn’t see many deer. Every time one came out I would point to it and holler deer so they would know where it was. They wouldn’t stay too long after that for some reason!
Uh-oh, Mommy caught Daddy and all I have to say is that is going to leave a mark. He is hollering at me to call 9-1-1, but I don’t know what that is. I had better go get Daddy some ice, a Dora band aide and Tylenol.
From our Family to yours, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas 2009
Ho Ho Ho to everyone!
Well it is that time of year again … No Silly, not Daddy’s annual trip to the emergency room for a Christmas decorating accident, however Daddy has learned that you never lick your fingers prior to changing out the bulbs on the Christmas Tree Lights!!! You should have seen the dancing Daddy was doing when he got a hold of the burned out bulb!! Mommy wanted me to tell everyone that Daddy will need new boxer shorts for Christmas after that experience!!! But back to the important thing…It is time for the Sutton Annual Christmas letter written by me, Bekah!
Well as you know I have been around for 4 years, so I am becoming a pro at writing these letters. Daddy says I am growing too fast! I am 3 ½ feet tall and well a nice girl doesn’t give out her weight! I am learning lots of new things at school and I can also spell my name! Mommy says my handwriting is better than Daddy’s too!!! I still love to help Daddy feed the cows and he is also letting me help drive the tractor!!!! He says I drive a lot better than Mommy, but he said it is a secret and for me not to tell Mommy that!!
Avery is getting big too!! He is walking and talking, well jibbering, but Daddy says he gets what Avery is saying.
.
Mommy says Daddy has the same mental capacity as Avery, which is why they understand each other!!! He is growing as fast as me too! He is 30 inches tall and weighed 21 lbs and 5 ozs at his 1-year-old checkup. He LOVES to play outside and swing and is into EVERYTHING!!! He also loves helping Daddy with the cows!!!
Mommy is working on her Master’s Degree so she can become a principal one day. Daddy said she is already good at bossing people around so she might as well get paid for it!!! Daddy usually gets the ‘mommy look’ and then smacked when he says stuff like that!!
Uh-Oh, Daddy is starting that crazy dancing again and smoke is coming out of his hair!!! I had better get over there and unplug those Christmas lights before he ruins another pair of boxer shorts!

Take a walk down memory lane. . .
Just for the fun of it and to try to make up for my lack of blogs over the past 6 months I am going to post the last three years of Bekah's Christmas letters. I thought they were fun to reread.
Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas!!

Wow-- where have I been?
Making a ginger bread house!

So I realize it's been since JUNE since I posted last. :-( Where has the time gone?
We are getting ready for Christmas. It's a busy time of year for us to see all the family but I love it. We are heading to Tyler on Thursday morning to see the Goines' and the Long's then back Friday for the Sutton's Christmas at our house!!! Ooopss-- should probably get my house clean before everyone comes over. I'm looking forward to it though.
We finally have everyone healthy (knock on wood!!) and I am seriously enjoying the break from school. It has been truly needed this year!!!
On a random note I'm even curious to if anybody even reads this blog. Between facebook, e-mails, etc. I don't update this near as often. If you read this post will you please leave me a comment-- even if it's just a smiley face!! That way I know at least someone is reading this. If not I'll just update on facebook-- add me if you haven't!!!! :-)

Updates.
So the Sutton's have been pretty busy lately. Here's some updated news.
Avery still has no teeth- but Mommy did cave in and get him his first haircut. He hasn't started crawling yet but he's getting closer and closer. He can say Mama, Dada, Bekah and he now even waves and says Bye Bye. We are getting him dedicated on May 10th at Taylor's Valley. If you're in the area come watch!
Last weekend we went to Waco and met up with my sister Benita and her family (Zach and Hayden!) as well as some friends Becky and her two daughters Amelia 3 months and Coralynn 3 years. We went to the Mayborn museum and had a blast!
We also took pictures in the bluebonnets. Pictures coming!!
